Tänased talgud toimusid Roosna-Alliku vallas, Vodja-Öötla raudteetammu lõigul, ehkki päris Öötlani me välja ei jõudnudki. Kohal oli meid 12 ja esimene tund kulus Vodja mõisakooli verandal Karla (Karl Mandel), põlise vodjaka lugude kuulamisele.
Raudtee rajati 1914. aastal ning ehitajateks olid nagu ta ütles – Vene troonile mitteustavad sõdurid. Kitsarööpmeline raudtee toimis 1972. aastani, mil see üles võeti, kuid tammi kasutati sõitmiseks veel tükk aega. Eriti pisut vindiseks võtnud kolhoosi auto- ja traktorijuhtide poolt, sest seal ju miilitsaid ei passinud. Muide – teadmiseks Paide pubile “Sõpruse auk”, mille nimi tuleneb ühest sealkandi rallilõigust – selle nimega kurvi algne nimetus oli Kala Oti Kurv :)
Tammi kordategemine on oluline kohalikele, sest seda kasutatakse siiani ühendusteena. Svenil on tore idee saata tammi mööda edaspidi hobuse ja vankriga oma lapsi kooli. Põhimõtteliselt natuke nagu hoburaudtee siis :) Aga kindlasti on tamm sobiv ka rattateeks, võibolla on värskelt toetust saanud welopargi ja welopunktide projekt see, mis aitaks seda rattateena kasutusele võtta.
Tööd tegime kella 12-st kella 15ni. Umbes 2 km oli vist see vahemaa, mille võsast puhtaks tegime. Päris kena tulemus jäi. Pärast veel tore talgutoit Sveni juures, kus kuulsime ka õpetust sellest, kuidas taolist näiliselt kasutut puitu lausa ehituses kasutada. Igatahes sai ära tehtud paras hulk head tööd ning tunda rõõmu lihtsalt väga heast seltskonnast.
Võimalik, et üks järgmisi talgupäevi Kareda vallas jätkab tammi puhastamisega (tamm on muide Roosna-Alliku ja Kareda valdade piiriks).
