Maikuust alates annab Paide SRIK oma puidutöökoda ja selles asuvad seadmeid kasutada Paide ajalooliste hoonete ennistajatele, et toetada selle uue kogukonnateenusega ajaloolise arhitektuuri ennistamist ja iseehitamise traditsiooni.
Säästva Renoveerimise Infokeskuse Paide Ühendus (Paide SRIK) on juba alates 2007. aastast toetanud ajalooliste hoonete renoveerimist ja iseehitamist koolituste, nõustamiste, vanamaterjali taaskasutuse ja Majatohtri kauba vahendamisega. Kuna Paide SRIKi kasutuses on ka Paide linnale kuuluvas, Tallinna tn 9/11 hoones puidutöökoda koos selles asuvate seadmetega (saepink, paksusmasin, höövelpink, freespink jne), siis oleme alati soovinud ka selle ressursi kohaliku kogukonna kasutusse anda. Sel eesmärgil oleme töökoda ja seadmeid järjest korrastanud. Sel aastal käivitasime Avatud Eesti Fondi toel Järvamaa Vabatahtlike Keskuse mitmepäevaste praktiliste õppepäevade projekti. Aprillikuus toimunud koolituse käigus õppisime puidutöökoja pinke ja tööriistu kasutama ning valmistasime töökoja ette ka laiemaks kogukonnateenuseks.
Alates maikuust pakub Paide SRIK puidutöökoda kasutada neile Paide linna elanikele, kes remondivad Paides asuvaid ajaloolisi ehitisi. Töökoja kasutamine on tasuta, maksta tuleb ainult elektrikulu eest. Ohutuse huvides peavad kasutajad leppima juhendamise ja järelevalvega. Loodame, et seejuures saame pakkuda ka aja jooksul kogutud teadmisi vanade hoonete ennistamisvõtete ja –materjalide kohta.
Meie soov on, et Paide ajaloolisi hooneid korrastataks ning et selle käigus omandaksid ka majaomanikud ise ennistamiseks ja remondiks vajalikke oskusi. Selline kogukondlik tugi aitab muidu väga kalliks peetud töid teha ära ka väiksemate võimalustega. Sel aastal korraldame veel kolm 10-päevast pikemaajalist koolitust: juunikuus vana maja remondi õpitoa, augustis vanade uste ja akende ennistamise õpitoa ja oktoobris „Majatohtri“ õpitoa. Projekti rahastab EMP toetuste Vabaühenduste Fond Avatud Eesti Fondi vahendusel ning viib läbi Ühendus Weissenstein. Ruumide ning tegevustoetuse kaudu on meie oluliseks toetajaks Paide linnavalitsus.
Puidutöökoja kogukonnateenus avatakse Paide SRIKi avatud uste päevaga 17. mail. Olete oodatud kell 11-18.
Muul ajal on Paide SRIK avatud esmaspäevast neljapäeviti kell 10-16.
